Making Profits Without Sacrificing the Planet |

Is Global Warming Increasing from All The "We're Soooo Green" Hot Air? You have in all probability noticed that the average business executive is not prone to weeping uncontrollably at the plight of near-extinct species, let alone falling over themselves to pour hard-earned cash into helping homeless masses? Likewise you probably have not had frequent first-hand experiences of CEO's leaping around the Boardroom in an excess of joyful abandon at the thought of throwing buckets of money into projects that will earn obscure noddy points rather than tangible profits?
Perhaps you have not enjoyed the pleasure of being received with rounds of spontaneous applause when you brought up the subject of environmental chaos and and social collapse at the dinner table? No doubt you are wondering how to get colleagues, family and friends to be excited about volunteering for and funding worthy causes?
Greenprint Trust offers a unique approach that involves communication and practical intervention projects that provide measurable, audited facts and figures. We seek sponsorships that enable us to create and implement badly needed uliftment projects and educational resources that represent compelling arguments for the truth of the old adage "adapt or die". What's more we will make the former more appealing through demonstrating that security and profitability need not be sacrificed through embracing change. On the contrary, they will be ensured. All that's needed is a shift in the current perception of what constitutes "security."
Hot Problems Need Cool Solutions Supposing you were a fund manager or industry strategist that had to conclusively demonstrate to your executive colleagues which companies and technologies will become the best "Blue Chip" options within the next few years. I can assure you it is certainly not the gigantic, monopolistic mining or oil industries with their dependence on non-renewable fossil fuels, finite natural resources, shocking environmental impacts and dubious Third World labour practises. They are about to go the way of the fossils on which they depend. And not a moment too soon! You could even save your executives from the unprecedented groundswell of public outrage that will inevitably erupt as it becomes clear that financial institutions and governments kept polluting industries afloat long past their "sell-by date", knowing full well that what the real price tag would be for the global obsession with making obscene profits at the expense of irreplaceable natural resources. The latter could even include that most irreplaceable of all natural resources - the Earth Herself. The agricultural revolution gave way to the industrial revolution, which subsequently spawned the cyber-revolution. Each of these created its own generation of enormously wealthy beneficiaries.
So what will become the Big New Thing of this generation? I think you know the answer to that, and you probably also realise that ironically the technologies, methodologies and trends our industry leaders are currently baulking at financing are the very ones that are poised to save us from environmental collapse. They must however urgently recognise the need to shift their pre-conceptions, evaluation methods and strategies. Sooner rather than later would be preferable ....things are hotting up faster than you can say "stock market crash". (Oooops - please excuse me for using bad language)
But green claims and earthy logos do not somehow address the hot problems or provide the cool solutions we need right now.
(Pssst ...This is a valuable secret....) On the one hand our non-profit investments can actually contain the seeds that guarantee the successful flourishing of the innovative technologies that are being financed for commercial profit on the other hand. Dadah! How do you like that for lateral thinking? To be continued..... Please send your response to:
