The latter provides their official stamp of approval by distributing the immensely popular journals and educational resources to relevant Government Ministers and their key advisors, as well as to national conservation bodies, museums, schools and universities. They are consistently chosen as the folder insert for international conferences, thus giving Greenprint a diverse, phenomenally powerful readership and sphere of influence.

Presidents and Ministers from 174 UN Countries received Greenprint!

The last Global Environmental Federation (GEF) Convention was held in Cape Town. By invitation only, some 174 UN countries’ Presidents, Finance and Environmental Ministers meet once every four years to lobby for their country’s share of some 3.5 billion US dollars. Greenprint was the only independent journal that was officially allowed to be distributed at GEF, where it reached what must surely be the most powerful group of people on Earth!

Through Greenprint (previously called Earthyear Environmental Journal: 1990-2000), some 150 different multi-lingual magazines, wall charts, games, puppets and puzzles have been distributed free of charge to disadvantaged communities, amounting to millions of copies. Encouragement and recognition has been earned through an unprecedented 15 awards and 4 nominations (including Businesswoman of the Year, Audi Terra Nova and DEAT’s Conserva Award) for journalism, creative presentation, photography and above all for social, environmental and educational contributions to SA - more awards than any other enterprise or individual in this field in SA. These include being chosen as the overall winner in:
* SAB Journalist of the Year Awards
* Sappi Beckett Award
* WWF / Nedbank Green Trust Award
* Mondi Journalist of the Year Award
* Nedbank SPADA Prima Exemplar Award

The need for enlightened awareness and radical transformation created the impetus that persuaded clients to orientate campaigns towards poverty alleviation, food security, conservation of natural resources, health, safety, social upliftment and sustainability awareness. The challenge lay in educating and convincing all and sundry of the benefits of social upliftment, accountability and cradle to grave responsibility through entertaining, engaging communications resources that inspire and educate at the same time. Beautiful, imaginative design presentations commanded attention whilst highlighting underlying issues and making it abundantly clear that caring for each other and becoming better custodians of this exquisite planet must surely be the most important tasks given to us here on Earth.

Greenprint Trust has been created in the sincere hope of continuing this important work.
